Harold grew up in Newton, North Carolina helping his parents grow and can their own vegetables. His mother's vegetable soup recipe is used today to prepare and can Best of Season's popular vegetable soup. Harold's love and knowledge of plants and trees, devoloped from childhood, led him into landscaping more than 30 years ago.

Caroline grew up in Sumter, South Carolina. Her family never farmed, but enjoyed gardening and cooking for their family and friends. Caroline's mother was known for "feeding the multitudes" on weekends with an hour's notice. Caroline, who has nearly 30 years experience in advertising sales and marketing, admits that she has gained tremendous knowledge about plants and cooking, among other things, over the past seven years that they have been in business.

The Sigmons attribute much of their success to Sharon Baird, their daughter-in-law, who is general manager and kitchen manager. Sharon is also a Master Gardener and an excellent cook.

In January 2004, the need for more room had become apparent. The Sigmons relocated from Guignard Drive to 415 W. Wesmark Boulevard, and expanded their offerings. The new name more completely describes their business.

Recipes for their popular frozen casseroles are derived from the three families. The daily menu features country cooking as well as home made breads for sandwiches. Signature items include their unique chicken salad and tomato pie. Fruit and gourmet baskets, cakes, pies, cookies, gift items, and frozen casseroles are available for delivery and most items for shipping.
